Philanthropy and Community Service

Sigma Alpha Epsilon strides, not only to be leaders within our communities, but also to leave the world a better place. Our belief that the betterment of society through community service stems back through the century to our founding fathers as a national fraternity.

Brothers of Sigma Alpha Epsilon are called to partake in philanthropy, not only to live up to our code of a 'True Gentleman', but for the greater good and the belief in benefit from a better off community. As a chapter that is located in Downtown Boston, there are a vast amount of opportunities.

Massachusetts Sigma dedicated 3000+ community service hours for the 2015-2016 academic year, raising a year sum of almost $8000 for various charity organizations and philanthropic use.

Here are some examples of our work within the community and our associated organizations:
  • Beacon Hill Association
  • North End Fire Department
  • Greater Boston Food Bank
  • Boston's Children's Hospital
  • Franklin Park and Zoo
  • Relay for Life - Boston University
  • Paulist Center - Downtown Boston
